I spent Valentine's Day on the slopes, with a hard slushy consistency that doesn't hurt to fall into when you ski and have to traverse snowboarding terrain. I switched up my skis, and then snowboarded for two meager runs, although it was still fun with Ro, Lilly, and little Jon, who was so cute on the little board! We didn't really hang out with my dad even though he was skiing, but I think he really wants to have a toast of sake sometime with Ro. Actually, any alcohol is good for him as long as it involves shots. Afterwards, we all had seafood galore. I ate like five lobster tails, and we sat gaping at the dinner table at this crazy eleven year old kid who was cynical as hell. At night, Ro drove us back to Berkeley, and it was a great day. I am HAPPY!
As a note ... just before this time, I had some amazing conversations with my valentine, and it just makes me so much more at peace. It was some thoughts on change, future&now, what to spend time doing, how we can help make better, morality, and values. I feel lucky and at the same incredibly well poised, like I can hold it all in my hands, folded neatly in a brown paper box.
Progress on the chair looks great, and some nameless individual suggested a mixtape creation. I think that's the best idea I've heard in a while. (ps--please send me URLs!)
I'll tell you more later about the transcription I'm doing for work. It's such an interesting life ...
