frog lake

the visit to frog lake this weekend reminded me of georgia, just a little different. that the skyscrapers were actually pine trees was the same. around this time of year, i'd be stepping on wet pine needles, the crunchy leaves of live oak, the not crunchy waxy leaves of magnolias, and in the cold, the dogwood would have its pretty little blossoms for us. how lucky we were to have these gifts, and many rocks and forests to scamper over and through, following the tiny trails of a deer, always on our feet.

how nice ... thanks to s and k!
