daft punk ... hedi slimane ... what is this, 2001? not really; as long as the sound of vocoders and men in skinny black leather jumpsuits persist, they will never disappear into the equally sexy histories of electronic music and fashion. electroma showed at cannes this year, and follows that classically compelling plotline: "the history of two robots in their search to become human." it's all scenescapes and sound, but no dialogue ... and no music by daft punk!
