my new apartment

just kidding. i enjoy this conceptual wallpaper by tsang kin-wah, even though it's rather vitriolic up close. well, the thing about wallpaper is that you peel it off and put up a new one every now and then ...

i had a wonderful day today perusing vintage clothing with tiff. it made me so happy to be near them. for one thing, being with her is being with her sparkling honesty, like a big wide canvas to draw out your thoughts (the ones that have sat in your mind, over years being unspoken) and then taking a look at how lovely it is. and another thing, i can't imagine ever running out of inspiration touching fabric that is never made anymore by machines no longer in use. you might say i feel safety in the truth of the anachronic, because isn't that sort of how everyone of us is when we are absorbed in something outside ourselves: breathing in the present, but, each second, existing in timelessness?

The times I've experienced timelessness: playing a new video game I just bought (especially any of the Metal Gear games), performing - especially slam stuff, seeing a girl I've liked for some time, naked.

I'm gonna go take that cold shower.

Timelessness, weightlessness, lessnesses.

the pattern is nice... but the removal of wallpaper off walls is EVIL! give me a fresh coat of paint & hardwood floors and i'm a happy camper.

ooh, bad wallpaper's got to go! i can't bear the thought of years and years of fashions come and gone accumulating one on top of the other. i say, the revolution begins in your own home.

although, i must admit, running a roller of fresh paint is equally enticing. and following that with a cold shower: oh, yes.
