did i just mention something about a moebius collection a few posts ago? well, aitor throup beat me to combining comic illustration and clothing by several years -- at least in menswear! his MA collection at RCA is entitled "when football hooligans became hindu gods." that's some inspiring portfolio work: the asymmetrically rouched slim trousers at spats-length, the thick canvases sprouting more canvas conurbations! i will be altering such shapes for womenswear, of course. but, i have a feeling it won't be much different in form. i think the future sculpture of men's and women's silhouettes will be so similar -- only differing in tiny details.
