At last, break begins. It turns out things went rather uncleanly at the end of the term; it was one of those times when each blink was a day, and at the end of it, who the hell knew what just happened. oh well. next year won't be so crazy, i hope. i did better on some of my projects than i had anticipated (or gsi's were more lax than i thought), so it was nice. but i still think i didnt do well in my studio class, and it ended up being one of those classes i'd rather forget than look back upon fondly. after all, i dont think i learned anything from it. what a waste of my tuition money!
anyway, enough griping about that. it's over, and i am looking forward to another term of exciting misery. i think it'll be a real character building misery, though. i'm determined to learn something next term.
egad, i cut myself again (though not as badly as last time with the olfa blade) with siqi's cup--on the tip of my right ring finger. it hurts. my fish are swimming around in their new bowl here at home (i dont have anyone to take care of them back in albany), but im sure they miss their forest of aquatic plants and their water filter. if fish miss.
i'm feeling really sleepy again for some reason (am i turning into some sort of narcoleptic?)... maybe ill go to the mall to appease my boredom. there are a lot of shiny, colorful things there to keep me awake, im sure. oh yes, since im back in roseville, is anyone interested in hanging out? if you havent seen lord of the rings yet, and you want someone to go with you, take me! i wanna see it again! (not just because of legolas...the tree people) i saw it last with kamal and nicole; we were hoping to get cheaper tickets by attending the three o'clock show, but it turned out costing more than if we went at night because we spent eight bucks on parking anyway. damn berkeley lots, rob us of our life blood!
yesterday i drove through some of the ugliest rain i have ever driven through. i could see probably 20 feet ahead of me, and only hazily--55 mph in the fast lane. interestingly, today's sky is as blue as a robin's egg. what the heck? i really hope i get to go skiing next week. really really really really really hope. a last tangential question: if you got a new car to go to the slopes and you had to spend less than 30k base, which would you get: a subaru, an audi quattro, a 4runner, a volvo, or a little wimpy suv?
