So, since i took a long ass nap (six hours) today, i am feeling more sick in the throat, but ever in better spirits! I watched the extended version of fellowship of the ring today on dvd and did not fall asleep! what else? i guess not much. last night my family had a huge dinner with four or five of their friends' families (amounting to a ton of people); as usual, i sat around watching movies with the kids instead of mingling with the nosy adults who keep prying into personal issues anyway. but, then the teenagers started to act all cynical so i went to my room and read some of the new yorker and vogue. that wrapped that up. today, i didnt leave the house, not even to go into the garage! luckily, we haven't a convergence of family, since we have no blood in the US, so things are pretty nice and quiet except that ruby, our close to six year old min pin, still smells rather bad, it's always freezing cold in doors even when the heater is on (maybe it has something to do with too many windows or high ceilings), and occasional complaints from my mom to my dad about how lazy he is, and then from my dad to my mom about how she complains too much. ahh parents. oh yes, i can't forget yelling from lilly to jon about how annoying he is, and the a simple jon mocking lilly in reply. the joys of the season. merry merry christmas ... three more days!!!

(have you done all your shopping? i haven't. i think i need to drive back down to the Bay Area to finish it up and maybe pick up Nicole. alas ... driving during the holidays--another glimpse of hell!).
