2D World

I want to get this monitor, because my 2 year old monitor is making funny noises.

I started re-watching an old anime that really enjoyed my sophomore year: "Kare Kano," for short, or "His and Her Circumstances." It's a really enjoyable high school girl's series with a gentle pencils and watercolors, thoughtful plot, and great main characters (Arima, who's a cutie, and Yukino, who I relate to...scarily enough). Arima and Yukino are both really ambitious freshmen who are simultaneously in competition (both being top students, smart, popular) and in love. But, they're both, deep down, really lonely. And just trying to figure out what they want to do with their lives. I don't really watch anime, because I just can't swallow how weird some anime characters are, or how arbitrary story lines are. But, I really like watching this one; it's like being in high school again, but cooler because I can imagine I'm in a world where holding hands is still a rare treat that makes both boys and girls blush. It's pretty psychologically penetrating; Gainax makes Kare Kano, which is the company that also does Evangelion, I think. Guys and girls will enjoy this regardless. The love story is tense, sweet, and just filled with SIGHS. Boys: watch this series to know how to be a great boyfriend! (jk) :-)

All right, time to eat a popsicle.

ps Great food and get together at Murph's last night! Thanks Murph the Surf! :)
pps Afterwards, I got really sick, but it wasn't Kevin's cooking--I think it was the rum. Thanks Ashwin.
ppps RR+HH 4ever
