mushroom cars, motored islands, mc escher, vegetables floating in space ... the world of freudenthal / verhagen: most noted for their deadpan collage work with bernhard willhelm the past several years and totally surreal editorial style. what work! (i got that last copy of bernhard willhelm 1999-2004!) cold, curious, sharp and beautiful, jarringly absurd.
