tonight, i had a very satisfying experience with conte, which is a media i havent quite gotten used to, but it has very controlled, smooth tones...perfect for modeling the human body on paper. luckily, our model today was healthy, hairless, and came up with lots of VERY dramatic poses (even though he looked like he was in a deep trance, slowly shifting from one pose to the other). I tried giving him eye contact, but i think it just made him nervous! Anyhow, it inspired me to keep working on figures ... i need more volunteer models! If anyone is still/again interested posing for me (and getting a nice nude portrait, maybe like this but not so sleazy looking, to take home later) please get in touch.

I learned today that i am going to be a reviewer for ED 11A's final project (one of the prereq's for the architecture major) on monday ... i wonder how i can be qualified for this task, because they usually get either grad students or architects for the jury, but, hell, i'll try my best to weed out those buggers. hHAHAh! --good timing; an ego boost before 100a destroys me. *whimper*

bruce reintroduced lovage on his blog like a month ago, and i just HAD to listen to it. one of my favorite songs right now happens to be a downtempo tune, "strangers on a train"...it's got some sleazy lyrics, but dig the sweet background, an almost atonic syncopated trumpet/piano line: if this is the sound of a train, it's got one fucking sexy motor. literally.

closing remark: KEEP CHUGGIN, fellow berkeleyans, SUMMER'S HERE IN 17 DAYS!!!
