running on 5%

i stayed at home rather than go to work the last few days, mostly because i have no energy to go, and today i saw the specialist. afterwards, the lab drew 17 vials of my blood, for, as i figure, 17 different tests. i took home with me a huge orange-brown gallon plastic jug to do a 24-hour urine sample -- i literally have to get a day's worth of urine into it, remembering to keep it in the fridge when i don't have to go.

tomorrow i leave for new york for six days, and i have a feeling it won't be quite as action-packed as i was assuming a few months ago, since i'm running on 5% of my energy. but if the weather is as cold and slushy as it seems to be still, maybe this won't be a terrible thing ...

anyway, i have all these things to talk about, and woody allen films to watch.

woody allen films! i love them & grew up watching many of them... but i watched 'husbands & wives' a few weeks ago and it depressed the fuck out of me. it also really irritated me- "is this what i so admired as a kid? these characters aren't smart!!! they're self-absorbed!!!"

there are a million better woody allen movies, though...

17 vials!!! gallon plastic jug!!! high-fives?
jesus christ- by the time that much fluid gets drained from you, you start to wonder the difference between syringes & mosquitos, don't you?
